Some things need to be remembered forever…and some not so much

Month: July, 2013

Things fall into place

Alex called and offered me a full time job for two weeks. topsail for my birthday weekend. Things work out sometimes.

And that’s what I need to remember. Things work out sometimes, if it’s meant to be and you look for it, it works out.

After a lovely lovely weekend I have come to peace with him leaving. Maybe it’s because I have started to solidify my plans. Maybe I have just come to terms with this relationship. It’s so great and even if I can’t have it forever its better than not at all. I wanted this for so long… And I found it. I was fine before and I’ll be fine after. But now I know it exists.

Camping on Carolina. Indochine to go- barely made it in the Lexus- sand everywhere- swimming in the early morning waves- fire building- ferry to southport- fishy fishy- and the most difficult car ride back followed by the absolutely most kind blowing sex.

He only continues to get better.

But I still can’t seem to tell him I love him. I keep telling myself, it shouldn’t be such a struggle. When it’s meant to be said it will come out easily. Don’t feel bad for feeling awkward.

I had no idea I was such a terrible communicator.

The therapist, the banker and Lauren

Trick don’t kill my vibe- Sams Instagram sunrise- boy fight- blue motorcycles- Dunkin- mama bear on the couch- Hondurans in the parking lot- cabs and Asheville bands

Bye Idaho!

If my life was a sitcom today’s feature would pan out with me wearing skinny jeans, chacos, Harry potter glasses and a cowboy hat going through airport security.

How in the heck do I have any friends?

That one time

You remember that one time we me an oil tycoon “landman” in the parking lot of an abba concert while drinking mikes hard spiked with rum? After we tried to feed him pasta salad and tell him about our unemployment… That was awesome

Pho

I laughed until I cried with my mother while it rained blurry lines outside-the owner smoked away the calories of the tripe, meatball and siracha- she said she wouldn’t try it-they looked like eyeballs floating- they did- her damnedest to be adventurous while i admired every minute-this woman who is so easily offended but so perceptive?

She noticed I was checking my phone a lot- she knew he didn’t call like he promised before his flight left-

it’s not worth my thoughts, he has no idea that I’m even disappointed again, it’s only my confirming these fears I have of not being cared for… I’m not making excuses-but I also wouldn’t forget.

Her advice was simple and perfect.

You can’t worry about something that hasn’t happened yet.

Ten points for mom.
